Leeds has the third-largest concentration of high-growth companies in the UK outside London and a tech sector growing 125%[1] faster than the national average. Home to some of the UK’s leading universities, the city provides Sharp with access to top talent and a thriving business community, making it an ideal location for the company’s new headquarters.
The new headquarters will serve as a strategic hub for growth in Leeds and across the UK, helping Sharp support more organisations through digital transformation, workplace innovation and technology-enabled business change.
Speaking about the opening, Stuart Sykes, CEO of Sharp UK, said: “The opening of our Leeds headquarters represents much more than a new office. It reflects the transformation of Sharp into a truly integrated technology partner.
Over the last year we have brought together new capabilities, integrating our Display businesses, accelerating growth in Business Applications and AI, and continuing to invest in IT Services, Managed Print and Workplace Solutions. This headquarters brings those capabilities together in one place. What makes the space unique is that it allows clients to experience the technologies and workplace solutions we deliver every day. Rather than telling organisations what a modern workplace can look like, we can now show them.”
Donna Carrick, Chief People & Transformation Officer, Sharp UK, also commented: “
Sharp connects people and technology, and the launch of our new Leeds headquarters demonstrates just that. Bringing together our growing team in a vibrant, collaborative environment, the new office reflects our ongoing investment in our people, innovation and the future of our business.
Leeds is home to one of the UK’s most dynamic and fast-growing technology communities. We look forward to welcoming new colleagues, building strong local partnerships and accessing exceptional talent from the region. As we continue to grow, we’re excited to see the next generation of Sharp colleagues build successful careers with us.”
Hilary Benn, MP for Leeds South, stated:
“The opening of Sharp’s Leeds headquarters marks a strong vote of confidence in our city, its talented workforce, and its thriving business community.
I wish Sharp every success in taking forward its work on technological advancement as Leeds continues to establish itself as one of the UK’s leading cities for innovation and technology.”
The Leeds headquarters reflects Sharp’s evolution as a trusted technology partner, bringing together IT Services, Business Applications, Managed Print, Audio Visual and Display Technologies, and Workplace Design in one flagship environment where clients can experience how these capabilities help them modernise their operations, collaborate more effectively and grow their organisations.
