TSC Auto ID’s MB241 industrial label printer now includes RFID scalable functionality. Existing customers can add the new functionality with an RFID upgrade kit, and for new deployments, the MB241 will come with RFID functionality pre-installed.
The MB241 can process standard RFID labels, on-metal labels up to 1.65mm thick, and numerous speciality tags, making it suitable for diverse needs across multiple sectors. TSC Auto ID’s free UniPRT SDK will also enable smooth and rapid integration into legacy systems, streamlining implementation.
Operational efficiency has also been improved with MB241’s RFID functionality: Encode during print capability simultaneously encodes while printing thereby boosting throughput; any faulty tags are automatically identified and reprinted thus preventing them entering circulation; and auto-calibration and an intuitive user interface make daily operations effortless and reduce both downtime and training needs.
Bob Vines, TSC Auto ID’s Country Manager for the UK, Ireland and the Nordics said: “We actively collaborate with industry-leading bodies like GS1, AIM, ISO, and the RAIN Alliance to ensure our RFID solutions align with global standards and evolving industry needs. We also continue to validate RFID chips, inlays, and tags from major manufacturers at our printer and label validation lab. This ensures that not only will our MB241 Series handle the growing variety of labels on the market but so too will all our other RFID printers.”
