Quocirca’s 2025 Cloud Print Services Market Landscape Report finds that amid the continuing cloud transition, demand for cloud print management services continues to grow. Following on from last issue, some of the industry’s cloud print management vendors share more details of their offering.
PrintIT Reseller: With hybrid cloud remaining the dominant approach in the near term, how flexible is your offering?
Danny Molhoek, Vice President EMEA Sales, Lexmark: For quite some time, we have been offering Lexmark Cloud Bridge to simply and securely bring advanced MPS functionality via the cloud to all network environments – from enterprise corporate headquarters to distributed environments, and the individual home office.
This is enhanced by third-party support where customers with multiple brands of print devices can utilise the industry-leading features of Lexmark Cloud Print Management across all devices, not just Lexmark devices. An external adapter attaches to the non-Lexmark printer or MFP and enables print management with badge release, without the need for additional on-premise infrastructure.
With our new LCS offering, partners and customers gain the flexibility of a scalable platform alongside the cost savings of eliminating on-premise infrastructure, while having confidence in continuous access and uptime.
Balancing cost with performance, the advanced hybrid storage feature accounts for every organisation’s unique requirements and allotted budget and provides the ability to store print jobs on-premise for security purposes.
Flexible licensing terms for our cloud platform make doing business with Lexmark more profitable for our partners. We want to help them grow their business by offering additional new revenue streams through our extensive suite of products and solutions.
With its AI-powered enhancements, our all- in-one cloud platform – in combination with our extended 9-Series – truly transforms how work gets done, boosting productivity for both partners and customers. LCS is more than just a suite of tools; it’s a strategic partner for organisations looking to transform their print and document management.
Karen Thulmann, Product Manager, ezeep: Flexibility is at the core of ezeep’s design. While we’re 100% cloud-native, we understand that many customers run hybrid environments. That’s why we offer seamless support for hybrid scenarios, allowing local print devices, legacy systems, and cloud-managed users to coexist.
With ezeep Blue, we provide optimal and long-term support for hybrid environments. We enable
zero trust printing, flexible user management in the cloud, and our ezeep Hub allows for easy, serverless integration of branch offices. In addition, ezeep Blue stands out with secure, user-authenticated pull-printing and a consistent user experience across all mobile and desktop devices. We support all printer manufacturers and maintain close partnerships with many of them.
Graham Adshead, Head of Architecture, Toshiba Tec UK: Toshiba’s cloud print solutions support pure cloud and hybrid cloud environments, so businesses can adopt the model that best suits their operational needs. Whether fully cloud-native or a mix of on-premise and cloud infrastructure, our solutions can be configured to deliver a seamless, consistent experience.
Ian Fox, Channel Solutions and Services Specialist, Xerox: With a choice of datacentre regions, including UK, EU, or US, Xerox Workplace Cloud is hosted on Microsoft Azure, delivering a secure, scalable, and flexible solution that caters to the evolving needs of businesses. The platform’s user-centric approach ensures secure access to print jobs from any device on any network and performance is optimised via intelligent print routing which ensures the most efficient use of network bandwidth, keeping the print stream local where possible.
Users can be managed internally or integrated into existing identity providers and single sign-on technologies. It is also possible to support multiple providers in the same tenant, making it ideal for organisations that have active acquisition strategies and are looking for a consolidated print solution. By embedding IOT connectivity into our latest range of VersaLink and AltaLink hardware, we can eliminate the need for on-premise servers or agents, providing ultimate flexibility and potential to efficiently scale with the needs of the business.
Matt Hill, Regional Vice President, Sales – Northern Europe, Middle East & S. Africa – DAS, Tungsten Automation: The demand for a hybrid cloud approach continues to be strong among our customers, as it provides flexibility to utilise both cloud and on-premise solutions without incurring additional costs. While many organisations aspire to fully transition to the cloud, they often face integration challenges with their existing infrastructure.
Our MAP Strategy, which won the 2024 Hybrid Cloud Solution of the Year at the PrintIT Awards, exemplifies our commitment to flexibility. By seamlessly integrating Printix and ControlSuite, we allow customers to choose between fully on-premise, hybrid, or cloud solutions based on their unique needs. We understand that each customer is at a different stage in their cloud journey, and we don’t push them in one direction or another. This adaptability ensures that they can transition smoothly at their own pace.
Stuart Miller, Partner Channel Director, Canon UK and Ireland: As more cloud solutions become available, businesses will become more selective, looking for software that is compatible with hybrid, multi-vendor fleets, and offers maximum flexibility as businesses continue to change and evolve.
Designed to empower the digital transformation journey, uniFLOW Online offers a solution that is compatible with multi-vendor, hybrid fleets and makes no compromise on agility, efficiency or security. uniFLOW Online is engineered for ultimate useability and simplifying the process.
It stands out in the market as a truly integrated, all-in-one solution. With the ability to be integrated into a print room environment – managing both office printing and print room operations within a single platform, while ensuring seamless coordination and control.
Denis Slavin, Business Development Sales Director, Partner Channel, Ricoh UK: Ricoh offers a comprehensive and flexible cloud print portfolio designed to align with our customers’ preferred architecture. Our solutions cover everything from fully self-hosted on-premise and private cloud options to self-hosted VPN-less deployments and hybrid configurations with cloud gateways for managing traffic.
For organisations adopting zero trust architectures, we also provide pure cloud solutions that eliminate reliance on traditional network infrastructures. This breadth of offering allows us to tailor deployments to the specific needs, risk tolerance, and strategic direction of each customer.
Stuart Brookes, EMEA Regional Lead and Head of Sales & Channel, PaperCut: Flexibility lies at the heart of all our offerings, because customers have different needs, requirements and hosting policies. To that end, we offer both PaperCut Hive and PaperCut MF. Hive is our fully hosted, cloud-native solution, while PaperCut MF provides even more flexibility. It can be self-hosted on-premise, in a private cloud, or by a partner.
PaperCut MF has been developed to adapt to the hosting model that best suits customers, even though it is well-known for being an on-prem print management solution. Customers can deploy it in their own datacentre, or across cloud services like GCP, Azure or AWS whenever they’re ready to migrate.
To make that process easier for all, we have built new learning modules designed for face-to-face environments. Offering two paths – a sales/pre-sales path and a technical path – it enables people to come together and learn in collaborative environments with hands-on, practical exposure. Furthermore, our unified subscription model enables end-users to move between PaperCut MF- Subscription and PaperCut Hive without any cost implication.
This means that end-users don’t need to worry about making investments into an on-prem solution now, when they’ll want to make the transition to SaaS in a few years. They can simply buy on-prem via the same commercial model used for SaaS. Whatever a business’ needs – from scalability to security and cost-effectiveness – our solutions can accommodate them now and in the future.
George Davies, Product Marketing Manager, Sharp UK: We’ve designed our print solutions with flexibility at their core because we know that no two organisations are at the same stage of their cloud journey. Hybrid cloud remains the preferred model for many of our customers, particularly those balancing legacy infrastructure with the need for modern, scalable solutions.
Our recent partnership with directprint.io is a key part of this strategy, enabling us to offer a
fully cloud-native platform that also supports hybrid deployments. This allows customers to transition at their own pace, without the need to overhaul existing infrastructure.
The solution integrates seamlessly with our multifunction printers and supports both simple and complex multi-site environments. It’s particularly well-suited to sectors like education, where integration with platforms like Google Workspace and the ability to manage distributed print environments are essential.
Ultimately, our hybrid-ready approach ensures clients don’t have to choose between innovation and control. They get the best of both worlds, cloud- based efficiency with the reassurance of on-premise compatibility, all backed by a roadmap of ongoing innovation and support.
