dataglobal Group and SoSafe join forces against social engineering

The mail security experts of the dataglobal Group and SoSafe GmbH have agreed on an intensive partnership. A joint webinar will provide information on the dangers of social engineering and how to protect yourself against corresponding email attacks.

Heilbronn/Berlin, 20 June 2024 – The dataglobal Group, with its subsidiary eleven cyber security GmbH and the product eXpurgate a leading provider of mail security, is now working closely with SoSafe, the largest provider of security awareness and human risk management in Europe and has concluded a corresponding partner agreement. Together, the two companies are committed to improving email communication security – particularly protecting against the rapidly increasing and increasingly sophisticated social engineering attacks.

Attackers use social engineering to use publicly available background information to entice employees to disclose access details (phishing) or to carry out certain activities (e.g. financial transactions, CEO fraud) with highly individualised attacks. The dataglobal Group’s mail security solution eXpurgate, which protects around one billion emails a day which represents more than half of the private email traffic in Germany, already offers excellent technical protection against spam and phishing. Combined with SoSafe’s security awareness training, this protection is extended to the human factor to sensitise employees to social engineering attacks and other threats.

“SoSafe is an excellent partner for us. SoSafe’s security awareness training aims to raise people’s awareness of digital threats and teach them safe behaviour – a perfect complement to our technological approach. Together, eXpurgate and SoSafe form an insurmountable obstacle to email-based attacks by cyber criminals,” says Hilmar Hänel, Partner Manager in the dataglobal Group. “For us, email security is an elementary component of the digital workplace, without which trusting and efficient collaboration is not possible. Digital transformation requires secure digital communication.”

dataglobal and SoSafe will present their joint approach in a free webinar entitled “Together against social engineering: The experts from eXpurgate and SoSafe in conversation” on Thursday, 27 June 2024, at 2.30 pm. They will use real examples to explain the threats posed by social engineering and how companies and other organisations can protect themselves against them. The mail security specialists will explain how eXpurgate protects against spam and phishing and how SoSafe’s security awareness training courses ensure that no one falls for the tricks of cyber criminals. In a concluding Q&A session, participants will have direct access to the experts’ extensive practical knowledge.
