Canon has refreshed its range of imageRUNNER and imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX multifunction and single function devices. Improvements include enhanced security features, lower energy consumption and reduced packaging waste. Designed to support the evolving needs of businesses, the imageRUNNER and imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX printers also include collaboration tools for hybrid working.
The portfolio refresh has resulted in reduced environmental impact – including a reduction of TEC values of up to 16% compared to previous models. Devices and parts have also been designed to last longer – helping customers maximise uptime, while reducing service visits and impact on the environment. Additionally, the polystyrene packaging previously used has been reduced and replaced with recyclable cardboard to limit single- use waste.
The updated imageRUNNER and imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX printers also offer customers device, data and network protection for security at every stage of the document lifecycle. The latest security firmware delivers end-to-end protection, all devices in the updated portfolio include two-factor authentication, in addition to incorporating stricter password rules for added protection and encrypted file sharing, featuring TLS1.3, WPA3 & SMB 3.1.1 support. The imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX products are also armed with FIPS 140-3* for certified encryption performance.
