Elephant Print and Display is now offering Climate Neutral Printing in association with German-based climate consultancy ClimatePartner.
The East Sussex-based digital print company calculates the CO2 greenhouse gas emissions of each print job, which the customer can offset by making a contribution to an internationally recognised carbon offset project. The one chosen by Elephant Print and Display is the Kasigau Wildlife Korridor in Kenya.
Managing Director Jason Gadd said: “Climate protection and the use of renewable energy has become an increasingly important part of what we do. The cost is generally only about 1% to 2% of the finished job.” Elephant currently operates two digital presses and two large format machines, all powered by solar energy from the company’s 600 Solar PV panels.
